Day Three: Goriska Brda
excursion with the owner of Tilia winery exploring the vineyards of the Vipava Valley, this includes 3+ wine tastings at different Vipava wineries and lunch at a mountain top with panoramic views to the whole valley
Day Four: Istria
guided tour of Karst hill town Stanjel followed by lunch in the castle grounds and wine tasting nearby in a small village. visit to Istrian hill town of Groznjan, filled with artisan shops. dinner at pension
Day Five: Istria
wine tasting at Kozlovic winery, lunch near picturesque hill town of Motovun, wine tasting at Piquentum, dinner at pension
Day Six: Istria
guided tour of Rovinj, Istria’s most charming coastal town, and Pula with its numerous Roman ruins. lunch in the nearby hill town of Bale with a visit to its 15th century Venetian palace. dinner at pension
Day Seven: Ljubljana
visit to beautifully frescoed church of Hrastovlje in Slovenia, lunch at village pub, visit to fascinating Predjama castle, arrival in Ljubljana, evening walking tour of Ljubljana’s old town and dinner
Day Eight: Ljubljana
excursion to Slovenia’s eastern region to tour the country’s oldest town of Ptuj, a visit to the Kogl winery and a special slow food dinner in the region before heading back to Ljubljana. transfer to airport the following morning
